Tom Hooper's Bio
I am currently semi-retired and do relief service for a number of veterinarians in the area. I attended Texas A&M University and received three degrees there. BS in Biomedical Science in 1982, BS in Veterinary Science in 1984, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. You can find some veterinary medicine related stuff along with my relief service schedule of available dates here. My son Thomas III (Trey) graduated from Texas A&M University in December of 2009 with a BS in Poultry Science. He lives in Bryan and is employed with Sanderson Farms at this time. My wife Terri Lynn is Director of Instruction at Garrison ISD. She has a Composite Science Teaching Certificate and has taught Biology, Oceanography, Chemistry, Astronomy, and Physics. She has a BS from Tarleton State University and a Masters in Midlevel Management from Lamar University. Visit her website if you are so inclined http://www.terrihooper.com.
I have been interested in photography for many years. I inherited an old Ancoset 35mm rangefinder camera when my grandfather died in 1974. I began my long road of clicking shutters. I have gone through that old Ansco camera, a Yashica 35 mm rangefinder, a Yashica Twin Lens 120 mm, Pentax MG, Pentax K1000, and a Canon Elan IIe. I presently have two Rebel XT's and an XSi along with several different lenses and accessories. You can find some of my work here.
My wife and I make most of the Aggie football games as we are season ticket holders. I have become an "Old Ag" now as I have armchair seats. Don't know when I got old but it does happen. Check out my Aggie Page.
We also enjoy traveling and seeing this great country. On the following page you can find links to some of the places we have been. Check it out here. As said earlier, I semi-retired at the age of 51 and my wife will take full retirement in 2 years at the age of 50. Yes I know that is young but you can't put a sack of money in your coffin and I want to see this country. Hopefully there will be many shots of our travels in the next few years.
Hope you enjoy looking at my pages and as always I am open for suggestions. Give me some feedback if you want. Email me here.
Thanks for looking and oh yeah "Gig 'em Aggies".
